Today is a day of rest and ... recuperation

I am so delighted to be home. I left a week ago today to drive to Vancouver to visit my friend Trish and to shop with Esther. I enjoyed my visit with Trish but wish I had gone a month or more ago and just shopped with her. I came home with virtually nothing for me. I had wanted another suit but I don't need another suit so that is that. I had also wanted to shop for a few other things - accessories, small gifts, large gifts etc but I will now rush about and do that here.

On the home front things are progressing well. There was a small pile of rock still in my driveway when I got home but I have a large driveway so that was no problem. The front yard is looking amazing. Beautiful but low maintenance. Yay. Rob has done a marvelous job. Today he is out there working away even though it is Canada Day and he could be off doing whatever. Today he is repositioning a small section of my fence between my house and the arbour. I am so happy with the way it is looking. He is also putting a divider between my side garden and the front so the gravel and other stones do not mix. Then he is planning to finish putting the rock between the houses. The plants are all in place and looking happy and healthy in their new homes. Two of mine are real Divas ... they wilt drastically when they require a little water but perk up immediately after watering.

I would like to get out there today but right now it is approaching noon and I am still exhausted. I went to bed before 10 last night and slept until 10 this morning. Was up to the bathroom a couple of times and fed the cats around 6 but otherwise slept. I am stiff and sore but other than that I feel pretty good. I am going to do some laundry and begin packing for my next trip - to Edmonton for the WEDDING. I have some stuff and notes already to go. I put everything in the living room in one spot and post-it notes for things that need to stay where they are until the last so I should not forget anything.

Well, I shall close for now and go 'take on my day'. :)
