It is just noon and already we are at 30 degrees Celcius. That is just too hot for me thank you. Thank goodness I did make it to Safeways last night. Got there before 9pm so I was able to get my prescription in. I only filled the Tylenol #3 for now as my funds are low and I am fine for pills for another week when my bank account will have had another small transfusion and be able to function again. Sigh. Money - not supposed to be the most important thing in life but without it .......
And the prices of things. I remember my mother complaining to my father that she had spent $25 on food. She and I were on foot and could barely stagger home with the load we were carrying. I remember thinking that I wouldn't make it but she kept threatening me if I were to drop anything. :) We did make it but I didn't think my arms would recover. We had walked about 9 or more blocks and I was wimpering with agony. I would have been in my mid teens. Certainly before I was 16 or we would have been driving. In those days we only had the big paper bags and we each had two of them - one in each arm. They were heavy - that's all I remember.
Funny what memories hit you when you don't expect them to. I remember another time that Mom sent me to the store alone and thankfully I only had one bag of groceries to carry because on the way home - right on Whyte avenue - the elastic on my panties gave way. I didn't know what to do so I just stepped out of them popped them in the grocery bag and continued on home. We almost always wore skirts in those days.
Well, sitting here isn't getting anything done. I am also dripping wet because this room is not air conditioned so I need to go cool down and then try to get some work done.

It's much hotter here - if that makes you feel any better. :)
I hope your cpap machine is helping and tell Esther to reply to her cousin's emails! (which she doesn't get often - true) :)
