My company is ... gone!

Alone again. I truly enjoyed my weekend - first spending time on Friday with Sara and then Saturday evening and Sunday with Zoe and Tshiamo. But this morning they had to leave and head back to Vancouver as Zoe must work tomorrow. So now it is just the boys and I again. Thomas really seemed to enjoy having company and Cole was his own aloof self.

Paul came over yesterday morning to cut my front lawn. It looks much better now. But then he came into the house, I paid him and thanked him and then he said "no coffee". So I stupidly made him one. I was in the middle of making bacon and eggs for Zoe and Tshiamo but Paul made himself at home and brought his two dogs in as well. The dogs are lovely animals and I gave the large Rotti-cross some eggs that were a little over-cooked. My heart was acting up so as soon as everyone had their coffee etc., I just had to go to the bedroom and the a/c. Zoe came to check on me a short while later and I said I was going to get up but she said not until she had sent Paul on his way. I felt bad that I couldn't join them all for breakfast but that was that. I didn't have a coffee yesterday and ate very little as well. Just not at all well.

The kids went exploring and I went out to get the ingredients for our evening meal. Succulent ribs, rice, zucchini boats (filled with sun-dried tomato and feta cheese), fresh pineapple rings that I cooked in with the ribs while heating them, salad and for dessert - white chocolate and raspberry Gelato. Yummmmm. I stuck a candle in the Gelato and we sang Happy Birthday to Zoe. :)

Well, it is afternoon now and I really should do a few things and then run into Westbank to post some letters. I hope everyone is having a great day. Only one more sleep and then tomorrow night I go to the Sleep Clinic and try a CPAP machine. They phoned today to remind me and since I have caller ID, I knew who it was so answered by saying "only one more sleep - I hope you are not calling to change that." The receptionist laughed and said not at all. I can't wait. Then she told me that my follow-up visit would be July 17 and I asked if I wouldn't be sent to get a machine before that and she said no. But she said she would put me on the cancellation list for that as well. A few minutes later she phoned back and said she had a time for me on JUNE 19. I am ecstatic.
