Exhausted but starting to ... pack

Cole won't leave me alone tonight. I know that he suspects that I will be leaving in the morning. He saw the suitcase and the stuff I was gathering and placing in it. So what did he do? Climbed in too of course. I would love to bring the boys but there is work to be done and Cole would want to explore and I wouldn't like that. Thomas would stay close to home like the good little guy he is.

Today was Seniors' meeting day so I had much to do. My entertainer failed to show so I asked Ross Holt to do the Card Bingo. He is a great guy. I book the entertainment and I keep in touch with the entertainers to make sure they know where to come and also so that I know what their needs are. The entertainer I had booked today blew me off once before so I was trying to keep in touch. But phone call after phone call I would leave messages and she never got back to me. So this morning I phoned and woke her up. She said she wasn't feeling well enough to sing and that she had tried calling me all last night. Liar. I have call waiting and I was home all night. I won't book her again. Two strikes and she is out.

So now I am at the computer to put my column together and send it in to the paper. But of course I would rather Blog. :) After all I am going to be away for over a week, then home again for a night or two and back on the road to Calgary and Edmonton. After that trip I hope to remain close to home for a month or so.

So, I will close for now and try to write a little between trips if I am able.
