I have been promising my Visiting Teachers that I would come to a Sunday meeting but it has been very difficult. Last Sunday was wet and rainy so my pain was incredible - not a good day to go and in fact I doubt I could have made it as far as the car. This morning I took extra pain killer and since I had my clothes already laid out, I was able to just get dressed and go after having a quick wash etc. It was okay. There were so many folks there that I really like and they were happy to see me. Of course there were a few that I would rather not have seen but ...
I stayed only for the Sacrament meeting. They had a speaker come out from the Stake and he was fantastic. I actually took notes. He was amazing - no boredom while he spoke.
When I came home I quickly changed into my jeans and then began to make breakfast (brunch as it will do me until supper time). I chopped some sweet potato into good sized chunks, threw those into the fry pan and added some chopped onion. I let that cook until the sweet potatoes were soft. Mmmm. The smell was wonderful. Then I put bacon in the pan and one of the two sausages I bought. I bought lamb / mint sausages at 'T-Bones' yesterday. I will have the other one tomorrow with the rest of the bacon and the remainder of the sweet potato / onion mixture. I also fried an egg to go with all that. Oh my, am I ever full now. Happily so I might add. :)
Now I am going to have a wee rest to let digestion to take place comfortably. Then I hope I can do something constructive for the afternoon.
Yesterday I went out with Marcy to vote, then shopping at Quality Greens and T Bones. So I have food for several days and won't have to worry about that. Unfortunately it is extremely delicious and expensive food. I am trying to make what I would love to eat at one sitting, do two meals. Good luck to me.
