The Rain in ... Kelowna causes PAIN in the ... joints

We are having frequent rain showers with sometimes high winds which cause havoc with my hanging baskets as well as my joints. Today I had to take two Tylenol #3 before I could get up. Then I was able to get up and move around a little. I am trying to do some paper work for 15 minutes at a time and then get up and do something a little more active like vacuum or pack something. I am packing things that I won't be using until Christmas or at least late fall. I am de-cluttering as I go although I know that I am not getting rid of as much as I could. I am trying to follow a rule of thumb that I concocted for myself - only keep what you would take to Helen's condo. That is the condo that I am still hoping to be able to buy. It would be absolutely perfect for me. I have to be on one level now. I found a two level place in Peachland with an awesome lake view which was perfect for me at that time and which I could afford at that time but they also had a no pet bylaw. Sigh. Those damned cats !!!!

Speaking of them - last night they started their play fighting under the bed. That is the only place they do this. Thomas likes to get under the bed and he immediately begins screaming, hissing and growling - even before Cole gets into position at the side of the bed. They have the bed skirt between them and Thomas reaches out to bat at Cole and then Cole takes a swipe at him. The noise is disturbing to say the least. So when they got going they woke me up (2:30am) and I got up to use the bathroom. When I returned to bed they were sitting there quietly so I turned off the light to go to sleep. Hmph. They began again so I turned on the light, got out of bed and in a very authoritative voice commanded "OUT". Cole sauntered out in his usual snooty manner and as soon as he cleared the doorway, Thomas shot out from under the bed and streaked past me. I firmly closed the door. I settled back in bed and heard a Siamese sounding YOWL from Cole. I yelled "Shut up Cole" and there wasn't another sound. I slept until around 7am. When I opened the bedroom door there they were - sitting shoulder to shoulder looking up at me sweetly. Cute little beggars. I refuse to part with them. They provide me with so much love and irritation.

Well, I must get back to my tasks - even though I would like to just crawl back into bed for the remainder of the day.
