A Stolen Day ... of Fun

This morning Marcy and I took off in her mother's air-conditioned car. Marcy's parents have her truck for a trip to Abbotsford to take their other little grandaughter a swing set. Marcy was going to take down Cassidy's swing set so the parents took it and borrowed her truck in which to transport it. Marcy and I had argued about which vehicle to take - mine or her mother's. I lost the argument the moment Marcy said "my mother's car has air conditioning..." I immediately agreed to that.

So this morning (around 10am) we started off for the Greenery to get more bedding plants. I didn't buy many as I have already been there twice. Even so, the trunk was full when we left. The plan had been to go to Costco and then home. We were on our own as Cassidy wanted to stay home and play with her ?Wii? (some video game). We left the Greenery and Marcy turned to me and said "you wanna check out Penningtons?" I agreed to that and we arrived there around 11:30am. I don't know what time we left.

I sat in the cool (air conditioned) for the first hour (approx) and Marcy modelled. When she was nearly done I decided that I needed to have a quick look at stuff. I bought a pair of capri pants (khaki coloured) with pockets down the legs a bit. I know that there is a name for the style. I also bought a stapless top that is very comfortable and should be cool for the summer. I tried one style but the one I ended up with is the very same style and colour that Marcy got. Oops. She said she didn't mind. She had tried the other style too and it just wasn't right for either of us. Marcy is very large breasted and I have almost nothing but the one style is comfortable for the both of us.

My purchase came to $72 while Marcy's was over $400! She got some lovely things and several of her items were on sale. She got three pairs of capri pants (black, white and bright yellow); the strapless top in coral; a white hoodie (on sale); tank tops (black, teal, coral, coral, teal, white); and a couple of very nice blouces.

Of course trying on clothes makes one hungry so we went just a few doors down to C-Lovers. We had the 'all you can eat' meal and I had a pint of ale (naturally). Marcy, the driver, had an iced tea.

Finally we got to Costco. Marcy talked me into using one of their scooters which has a huge basket in front. Like a little trailer only at the front so it gets pushed not pulled. Only took me a moment to be able to work it. We had to go all over the place so there is no way I could have walked it. I didn't buy much but Marcy bought about $150 worth for a friend, some for work and another $100 for herself.

We got home and I went for a sleep - shopping is exhausting. LOL Now it is 7pm so I am going to go water the plants. G'night all.
