Today I went for lunch with the Red Hat Peaches - my first and best Red Hat Chapter. This is where my heart is. We had a wonderful lunch at the Vintage Restaurant (Vintage Golf Course) where they have a private room just the right size for us. I don't know just how many of us there were but the table was fairly full. Probably around 15. That is about what we normally have out at each event.
As usual our lovely Peachy Queen had prizes for us and a fun game that we all cheated at. Barb Yeo had us all sign new waivers and conducted the business that was required. Mel brought wine glasses painted with Red Hats for those of us who had not received one before. She did not charge for these which is very generous of her. I brought one home. I shall enjoy using it. I also bought a wall hanging. At the last luncheon we had a silent auction and I was bidding against Barb Yeo. Finally I let her have the item and so this time she brought another one for me to buy. I like it better than the other one so we are both happy. Not that I need anything more. Now I have to get rid of two more items to make up for this one. Oh, and also for the wine glass. Yipes.
Well, it is getting late and I have much to do tomorrow as it is Seniors' Meeting day. I am in charge of the kitchen duties for this month so I have to run to Costco to pick up birthday cake as well as everything else I do. I am not complaining - I love doing everything I do.
